Journal 52 Prompt - Conversation starters

Week #3                                                  What brings you here?

I am not quite happy with this piece, as I need to work on grounding the "rock of ideas".  I also want to do something more with the background and perhaps the edging.  But that will be for another day. Still fighting the flue virus; though I think it got the upper hand today.  Had the chills all day and body aches.  By the time I left school I had a dull pain behind my eyes.  Blah!  I refuse to give into this nasty bug.............

Next weeks prompt is to incorporate a silhouette into our art journal page. I think I might do something with the silhouette of a horse.....in memory of my dear Selkirk Beauty.  We'll see.  What actually gets down on the paper by the end of the week is often very different from what I envisaged the previous Friday after Chelli has posted the next challenge.

Update on other challenges:

The first three weeks of 52 Small Changes is going well.  Most days I am getting my allotment of water.  Even on the occasion when I don't quite make it, it is still much more than I had been getting.

I am having no trouble meeting the requirements of the week 2 challenge- getting 8 hours of sleep. Too bad that wasn't my paying job!  ZZZzzzzzz    LOL.

Week three challenge of getting exercise was going well until tonight, in which case I not only skipped my exercise, but ate supper at MacDonald's.  (It's Ian's fault.  LOL )  Not really.    Will power is not one of my greatest strengths....but I am stubborn, so I will get things back on track for tomorrow.

My other challenge for this weekend is to rid the upstairs hallway of all my craft supplies.  (That's right Jeanne, they are still there and the black and white wallpaper is still on the walls.) The clutter in that space will be short lived though.  Once I have the space cleared Ian can work on prepping the walls and ceiling while I am at work.  Then full speed ahead......unless of course this flu bug has its way with me.  Fingers crossed........

Tomorrow morning we head to Bridgewater  to check out a 1997 Corvette that Ian's wants to trade the '71 Cougar for.  Not sure if I want to do this, but I will give her a looksie....I always wanted a Corvette, but I though it would be white or red, not green.  But perhaps its a nice emerald green....that would be nice.  I could do emerald green, especially if it has a metallic fleck in the paint.

Until next week.
Toodles
