But then I was hooked.....so to speak. So I found myself one eBay looking for a kit and got trigger happy and bid on this one, but really didn't want it. And as luck would have it, no one else bid on it....and the rest of the story is pretty obvious. LOL. So I paid $7.99 for the kit which included yarn and printed canvas....and was charged $25.00 shipping and duty. But on the bright side, it was a vintage kit and a easy one to do as a beginner. Once I have completed the rug binding and rubber backing it will find a home in the spare room in front of the antique tallboy which has a model car of similar age that Ian put together this winter. Our cat Annabella has claimed it for her new sleeping spot....so all is good.
My next rug project will be the "Small Nova Scotia" rug that I also found on eBay. This one is also a vintage pattern that I had to purchase the yarn separately.....and as luck would have it the colours are no longer available......but I order similar colours to my liking from Herrschners Craft Suppliers in Kitchener, Ontario. I can't wait to get started on this one!
